Cleaning Commercial Garbage Cans
Q. I have noticed foul odors from the restaurant garbage cans. What can I do?
A. You can soak and scrub the empty garbage cans with Alcojet®. To remove long standing odors a couple rounds of cleaning may be required. After which, routine preventative maintenance can be implemented. Here is a basic recipe:
- Add 2/3 cup of Alcojet® detergent to 4 gallons of warm/hot water.
- Using a long-handled scrub brush, dip the brush into the Alcojet solution and scrub inner walls of the garbage cans.
- Let solution sit for 10 minutes or longer.
- Rinse thoroughly.
