Pizza Conveyor Belt Ovens

Conveyor belt oven belts get gummed up with a range of residues including oils, dairy and , carbon buildup. Belts and can be removed and soaked in large vessels. If your hire a 3rd party service to clean the ovens then stipulate that they use a mild alkaline detergent. Exterior oven surfaces can easily be cleaned using a spray bottle with hot detergent solution and scrub brush. This is best done when the oven is heated up to temperature.

How To Clean Pizza Conveyor Belts:

  1. Add 2/3 cup (150g) of detergent [for Detonox, use 2 cups (460g)] to 4 gal (15L) of warm water.
  2. Remove conveyor belts from equipment.
  3. Using a long handled scrub brush, dip brush in the detergent solution and coat the conveyor belt. Scrub harder on stubborn buildup.
  4. Let sit for 10 minutes. Do not allow detergent to dry.
  5. Rinse off detergent with a hose and dry thoroughly.

How To Clean Pizza Impingements and Other Interior Parts:

  1. Add 2/3 cup (150g) of detergent [for Detonox, use 2 cups (460g)] to 4 gal (15L) of warm water.
  2. Remove conveyor belts and other interior parts from equipment.
  3. Soak interior parts in the detergent solution. Using a long handled scrub brush, dip brush in the solution and coat conveyor belt with detergent. Scrub harder on stubborn buildup.
  4. Let sit for 10 minutes. Do not allow detergent to dry.
  5. Rinse off detergent with a hose and dry thoroughly.

How To Clean Pizza Oven Exteriors:

  1. Prepare a spray bottle with 2 tsp. (10g) of detergent [for Detonox, use 6 tsp. (30g)] to 1 qt (0.95L) of warm water.
  2. Either spray directly on exterior surface or apply with a towel or sponge soaked in solution.
  3. Wipe surface gently until soil is removed.
  4. Rinse three times and dry thoroughly.
